Kade Barker Designs,
founded in 2025 by its owner and principal designer, is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kade, a Charlotte resident since 2014, graduated with honors in interior design in 2018.
During his college years, Kade secured his first design job through an internship and later as a design assistant at a renowned Charlotte design firm. Seeking more opportunities, he joined a high-end home furnishings retailer as an in-house designer, working with a diverse clientele, including a few local celebrities.
In 2020, Kade’s dream came true when he landed a position at one of Charlotte’s most esteemed design firms, who’s work he had admired for years. Working alongside the owner as the senior designer, Kade gained valuable experience and knowledge in the world of residential design.
Five years later, driven by his passion and expertise, Kade decided to embark on his own journey. Having gained extensive experience, including projects across the U.S. and Europe, Kade built a clientele and decided to take the plunge. Thus, Kade Barker Designs was born.
KBD’s mission is to create beautiful, functional spaces that are meticulously curated to cater to each client’s unique desires and requirements. We firmly believe that the home is a sanctuary, and there’s nothing more personal than collaborating with clients to build that space. We offer a wide range of furnishings, finishes, and fixtures from renowned vendors and craftsmen, catering to both minor renovations and extensive new construction projects. Regardless of the project’s scale, KBD treats every project and client with utmost priority and dedication. As a full-service design firm, we strive to be an integral part of every aspect of the design process. Our comprehensive design plans include scaled construction documents and floor plans, finish, lighting, and material schedules, as well as detailed design boards that serve as a visual representation of the design concept.
